It took me almost 2 weeks since I got my yuletide assignment but I was able to complete it. The thing that truly surprised me was that I was able to get it betaed and edited within a day of completing it.
This makes me pleased. Now, all I have to do is upload it.

Has anyone out there that has participated in Yuletide have heard anything about nominations??
I believe they were suppose to take place by now but I heard they were working on things to get that ready which resulted in noms getting pushed back. I've been keeping my eyes and ears open but still haven't heard anything.

Preparing for Yuletide
Sep. 15th, 2011 05:27 pm'Tis that time of year again. Earlier today I read about this year's Yuletide. Nominations will be wanted in early October and sign-ups would follow that. Both processes will be a little different this year and it will be interesting to see what gets in this time. Well, I know what I'm nominating this year and I look forward to what makes it.

This time I feel more confident about it because it is a subject that I am well aware of but have never written a story for. Going over the assignment and some research has given some ideas which means I should be writing soon. I think I may have some fun with this one.

Yuletide Sign Ups
Nov. 13th, 2010 02:23 pmYes my fellow fic writers, the sign-ups for Yuletide 2010 are a go now. Check it out right here for how you go about it. I'm all signed up with my requests and fandoms that I am willing to write for. Now I can sit back and wait for my assignment.
For the signup for this year's edition of Yuletide. It appears that it will fall behind schedule this year because I think they are still working on some things before opening up the sign up. The good thing is that nominations are over and I look forward to seeing what's eligible for this year.

During the process of importing my fics, I noticed that one of my Yuletide fics from last year wasn't posted anywhere else but on their website. I can't believe I forgot to post it on ff.net and LJ. Well, I'll get that remedied in the next day or so.
I also finished a fic that I've been working on intermittently over the passed month or so. That one will be posted soon as well.

And So it Begins Again... This Year
Nov. 16th, 2009 05:32 pmJust 2 days since receiving my Yuletide assignment, I get to work on it. I really want to get this done as quickly as possible and it seems I may accomplish this task. Now, if real life can work with me there shouldn't be a problem. The first bit came fairly easy to me and I already have some other parts to the story planned. Wish me luck.
Yuletide Assignment Received
Nov. 15th, 2009 10:24 amYes, ladies and gentlemen, I got my assignment for yuletide. At first I was a tad bit worried because this year I would be traveling in uncharted territory with my writing. In fact, I still am but it shouldn't be too hard. When I decided what selection I was going to write, the ideas just started pouring out of my noggin. My hope is to have it written and betaed by the end of the month, that is how confident I feel about it. Wish me luck. I extend those wishes to my fellow yuletide writers as well.
It's That Time of Year, Again
