One Thing to be Happy About
Apr. 22nd, 2007 06:36 pmFinally, the Tigers beat the White Sox this season and it wasn't easy. The boys had to go 11 innings to get the win but the main thing is they won. A Marcus Thames 2-run homer tied the game in the 9th and a Placido Polanco base hit in the 11th won it. This was the second straight extra inning game between these two AL Central division rivals. They play 2 games in the Windy City next week and hopefully they can take both or split the two games. The Tigers need a jumpstart to start winning some games and get the offense going and maybe this is the start of that.
