Finally, the Tigers beat the White Sox this season and it wasn't easy.  The boys had to go 11 innings to get the win but the main thing is they won.  A Marcus Thames 2-run homer tied the game in the 9th and a Placido Polanco base hit in the 11th won it.  This was the second straight extra inning game between these two AL Central division rivals.  They play 2 games in the Windy City next week and hopefully they can take both or split the two games.  The Tigers need a jumpstart to start winning some games and get the offense going and maybe this is the start of that.
