The Goose is Loose
Jan. 8th, 2008 06:08 pmToday was the day for the results of Baseball's Hall of Fame Balloting was made public so that we could see who made it in. This ballot was voted on by members of baseball writers who are eligible to vote. Rich "Goose" Gossage was elected to the HoF but it's too bad no one else that was on the ballot made it.
Another Goose in the Hall
A trio of former Tigers failed to make it this time. Jack Morris, a former Tigers pitcher, gained some votes despite not being elected. Hopefully in the coming years he'll get enshrined in the Hall. Alan Trammell seemed to get the same as last year and my fingers are crossed for him to get in as well. Travis Fryman was on the ballot for the first time but failed to get at least 5% of the vote to stay on the ballot. But all is not lost, he'll be eligible for election by the Veteran's Committee, I believe.
A Tiger has been voted in for a long time and I think one is about due to get in. May it be very soon.
