fyi, I remember when the first Star Trek film came out. I was there opening night. The audience stood and cheered when Kirk stepped onto the screen. Hubby still thinks that the fans are all just a little touched, or strange. lol

I enjoyed it too and it will be a fascinating reinterpretation of the series. The Enterprise looks AWESOME. It will be interesting to see the budding friendship that will occur between Kirk, Spock and McCoy.

The fans are into it just like others in certain fandoms, but there are some that are into it a little bit more than others.
