I knew this was a matter of time but I'm glad the deal finally got done.

This shores up the rotation and now the Tigers can concentrate on bullpen help when the Winter Meetings start on Monday.

Yeah, hopefully he can pitch like he did in '06. They still have the 5th spot in the rotation open so it will be a battle in Spring Training for that spot barring a trade or free agent signing.

I haven't heard much about the Royals making moves but it looks like they could lose Riske. Sorry, Abby.
