With an outstanding performance from Kenny Rogers, the Tigers took a 2-1 ALDS lead over the Yankees with their win last night.  Game 4 is today and the first pitch is scheduled for 4:00.  The Tigers will try to wrap the series up with Jeremy Bonderman pitching for the home team and he will do battle with the Yankees' Jaret Wright.

Game 3 Summary:  Tigers 6, Yankees 0

In other ALDS action, the Oakland A's wrapped up their series with the Minnesota Twins with an 8-3 victory yesterday.  The A's will now wait for the winner of the Tigers-Yankees series to see who they will play in the ALCS.

In the National League, both the Mets and Cardinals could move onto the NLCS with victories today as they hold 2-0 leads over the Dodgers and Padres respectively.  Game time for the San Diego/St. Louis game is slated for 1:00 while the New York Mets/L.A. Dodgers game is set to start at  7:30.

After today's action, both League Championship series could be set and the next round of the playoffs can begin.
