Right now, the battle between Marvel and DC in the film industry is being won by Marvel. To tell you the truth, they are actually thumping the Distinguished Competition pretty well. I don't think anyone can deny this. Lately, if you are not a cowled crime fighter in a DC film, you are not doing any good.

Green Lantern has had mixed reviews and won the box office fight this weekend but did not live up to expectations. Also, their trying to get the new Superman film off the ground but I haven't been too impressed with what I'm hearing about it.

As you know, most Marvel films have done well except for the odd one or two. So far, they've had a pair of hits this year with Thor and X-Men First Class. Next will be Captain America and that should be good as it leads up to the Avengers, which will come out next year with the Spider-Man reboot.

In order for DC properties to do well, they should take a look at what Marvel's doing with their properties. DC needs to turn things around and quickly because fans may lose faith in their ability to make a film out of their characters.
