First of all, I'm not happy with the death of Jimmy in last night's episode of Smallville. The main reason for this is that the character is still very much ALIVE in the comics and therefore didn't need to die.

As for the poll, it seems all the votes are centering on one person, Chloe. I don't disagree with that fact. If it wasn't for her, Jimmy probably would still be alive. Also, at least to me any way, she was written out of character a lot this season but she wasn't the only one. So, Chloe should've been the one to die.

I do have another pick, Oliver. You might be asking, why?? Well, like Chloe, he was written out of character a lot this season as well. Plus I was getting so sick and tired of him saying that killing the bad guy is justifiable. Sorry, Ollie, that ain't the case. Most of that was because of Doomsday being alien and not human. Well, it was proven that a human can kill another human just as easily and Oliver should know that. Actually, we all should realize this. You may say that Oliver/Green Arrow is alive in the comics, which is true. But, just like Superman, he has died and therefore he could have been brought back in some way.

There you have it.

I agree with you for the most part. I think Chloe should have been the one to die... I think it's sad that the writers decided it was okay to do away with a really important canon character. Mind you, they basically killed Lex last season, too, so...heh. I guess this is an AU show, then. *shrugs*

Also, about Oliver... honestly, most of the characters this season have been OOC - the writers have butchered them in ways that aren't even funny. Lois is, quite possibly, the only one to have not suffered this fate -- could be because she's now the reason most of us are still watching this show.

I honestly hate what they did with most of this season. There were such great episodes at the beginning of the season...why did they have to screw it up. *sighs*

I agree, Lois was probably the only character not messed with. I used to like Chloe a lot but now... not so much. The same thing can be said of Oliver. He's grated on my last nerve for a while now. The season started off great and then went downhill especially around the time Lana returned. So, there's another thing we can blame her for, lol.
