Tomorrow is the day that I'll post what I thought of V - The Second Generation. It will give me some time to put my thoughts together and write them down. One thing I will tell you is that if you are a fan of the original miniseries, you should enjoy this novel.
As for the V remake, they will be getting ready to shoot soon. I guess they really are going in a different direction than the original because the name for one of the main Visitor baddies, Anna, is not a name used in the original. I guess that's okay but it does have me worried. The BIG thing is that Kenneth Johnson, the creator of the original and the author of the novel that I mentioned above, is not involved with this remake.
In writing news, I finally was able to get back at it and should be done with the second vignette displaying Ms. Lang's untimely demise. I have some more to go with that but it shouldn't be too difficult. I do have a question for any DC comic fans. Do you know of a evil mystic associated with Superman? I could use one in one of the short stories.

Didn't Think I Would Get It
Jan. 8th, 2009 06:23 pmI didn't think that I would get my hands on a book that I now have in my possession but to my surprise I do. V The Second Generation came out in hard cover almost a year ago and it just came out in paperback last month. The paperback is the one I have because it is of course the cheaper edition, lol.
The book is based upon the original V miniseries from the early 80s and was written by V creator Kenneth Johnson. The book takes place in the present and does not include events from the second V miniseries or the TV series so I am eager to see how much different it will be. Being a huge fan, I just had to get a copy of this novel and I can't wait to read it.
There has been talk about turning the book into a miniseries and I'm all for it. I hope it happens and soon.
